Barefoot Shiraz SEA – 6 Bottles
$66.00
WINERY INFORMATION: At Barefoot, everything started in 1965 when Californian winemaker Davis Bynum created his first wine – Barefoot Bynum Burgundy, in his garage. The unconventional name ‘Barefoot’ has been taken from the free-spirited method of crushing grapes barefoot. Things kicked off in 1986 when visionary entrepreneurs – Bonnie Harvey and Michael Houlihan, took the helm, renaming the company as “Barefoot Cellars†and creating the famous footprint label. TASTING NOTES: Barefoot Shiraz flaunts a deep crimson colour when poured into a glass. The wine opens with aromas of blackberry and mocha on the bouquet. This medium-bodied Shiraz shows soft blueberry and forest fruit flavours on the palate, with notes of vanillin oak. Combined with savoury tannins, the well-balanced palate leads to a smooth-as-velvet and long finish. The wine is perfect for a large gathering, or just for sipping alongside your favourite homemade meal. Enjoy this youthful drink on a cold fall or winter evening with a comforting stew, red sauce pasta, or any dish prepared with sharp cheese.
