Giesen is a reputed wine estate located in Christchurch in New Zealand. It was established by three brothers – Alex, Theo and Marcel Giesen. Disappointed with the unavailability of a varied collection of wines in a local wine shop, the Giesen brothers decided to create their own range of cool climate wines. Subsequently, they purchased their first plot of land in Burnham on the outskirts of Christchurch, to plant their vineyard. TASTING NOTES Lighter in Alcohol Sauvignon Blanc is a transparent wine displaying golden yellow tinges. The attractive bouquet exhibits scents of jasmine, lavender, nettle, capsicum and lime, with hints of sage, tangelo, passionfruit and elderflower evident in the backdrop. The lush and succulent palate is rife with tropical fruit flavours, stone fruits and wildflowers, which coupled with crisp acidity, lead to a long and captivating finish.
