The Quintet blend is the flagship wine for the Mount Mary Estate. It represents the initial vision of Dr John Middleton when he was discovering the unique site that is Mount Mary. The nose on the Mount Mary Quintet 2018 vintage has all the hallmark characteristics of the Quintet blend. It boasts aroma of cassis, cherry, chocolate, and plum. The palate is intense with medium weight. Complexity of the flavours woven throughout. Blackcurrant, cherry, raspberry, violet, an empty box of chocolates, and subtle leafy perfume. Medium-bodied, deft delivery of intense small-berried red and black fruit, tobacco and dried flowers with a discreet seasoning of cocoa, embroidered with pure and vital acidity, fine carbon tannin, and a supremely long and fresh finish.
