Mountadam Marble Hill Chardonnay 2018 Eden Valley – 3 Bottles
$235.00
WINERY INFORMATION Vineyard The story of Marble Hill began in the 1860s when South Australian landowner and parliamentarian Sir Samuel Davenport was given a cutting of “chardonuet†by a Burgundian horticulturist. Somehow, and history is not clear on the sequence of events that led to this, the cutting came to be grown in the South Australian Governor’s summer residence, a property known as Marble Hill in the Adelaide Hills. TASTING NOTES Light yellow, youthful looking. Lovely complex nose, superbly harmonised fruit, oak and other inputs. Rich but fine palate; tidy and tight, delicate yet rich and concentrated. Impressive wine. If anything it errs on the pristine, squeaky-clean side. Very good length and balance. Power and finesse.
