Orlando Lyndale Adelaide Hills Chardonnay 2021

Orlando is one of the oldest brands in Australian wine, having been established in 1874 by the Gramps family. Lyndale Adelaide Hills Chardonnay is a stunning, contemporary cool-climate Australian Chardonnay from the Adelaide Hills. Blocks from Woodside provided the backbone of this outstanding vintage which contributed generosity and length to the palate. Fruit from selected Piccadilly parcels with their purity added a fine linear acid profile. Two blocks, 80% Woodside clone 95, 20% Piccadilly clone I10V1; 85% hand harvested; fermented and matured in new and older French oak puncheons; limited mlf; extended bâtonnage. Crunchy lemon and pear fruit find strong if slightly imposing support from cashew nut French oak. Cool, bright acidity directs a long finish.
