Plantagenet Aquitaine Cabernet Sauvignon 2020 Great Southern – 6 Bottles
$209.00
WINERY INFORMATION: Plantagenet Wines was the first winery in the Great Southern wine region of Western Australia and has developed an enviable reputation for producing premium quality wines since 1975. Our wines have achieved international recognition for their amazing depth of flavour and structure. The style of our wines are suited to a diverse range of cuisine, due to their elegance, finesse and incredible balance. Winemaking is focused on producing a wine that is balanced and complex by fermenting with gentle maceration, some long skin contact time and an overall ‘minimal handling’ approach. Moderate use of high quality, fine grained French oak ensures robust structure for cellaring potential. Small quantities of Malblec, Cabernet Franc and Malbec are used in the final blend to provide roundness and complexity. TASTING NOTES: The 2013 is one of our most aromatic Cabernets to date, with rich cassis and dark fruit aromas highlighted with a hint of minty sweetness. A classic cool climate wine with all the hallmarks of complexity, elegance and fine grained tannins, it has great length and layers with a core of intense ripe blackberry fruit. This wine will reward extended cellaring for up to 20 years.
