WINERY INFORMATION A little over an hour drive from northwest of Orange is the Boomey, the origin of Quilty and Gransden Wines and a splendid country escape. Spread over 508 hectares, the Cumulus Vineyard was founded in 1995 by two wine enthusiasts, Russ Quilty and Marty Gransden. The winery is formed with a single line purpose to get as many people drinking the great wines from the Orange wine region in NSW as possible. Following the vision, the duo’s passion and 30 years of craftsmanship combined together, resulted in excellent winemaking and diligent efforts to safeguard the land and its soil. They have planted Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Shiraz, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, which sits 600 meters above sea level to provide the finest range of handcrafted wines from selected cool-climate sites. TASTING NOTES Exhibiting the deep red and purple hues, this intensely aromatic Shiraz elevates the ripe plum, red & blackberry fruit aromas. The elegant and complex palate follows offering the velvety texture of the lifted plums intertwined with white pepper flavours. All the elements work together to provide a finish with a lovely length of flavour. Relish this Shiraz anytime with Roast or Barbequed red meats, especially those marinated with spices.
