Sons of Eden Romulus Shiraz 2019

The Romulus Shiraz is an old vine shiraz and one half of twin wines produced in the valleys of the Barossa. It was inspired by twin brothers Remus and Romulus – legendary founders of Ancient Rome, abandoned at birth and reared by a she-wolf. Deep garnet in colour with a lifted array of black-cherries, plums and red-licorice aromas. A rich, powerful and well structured palate, displaying flesh and appealing textured tannins. The 2019 harvest was an exceptional Barossa vintage for old vine Shiraz, suggesting that this wine will mature well for many years to come. Drink now or cellar for increased enjoyment from 2029 and onwards. Abundant sweet spice and red fruit, as well as liquorice and tar. There’s impressive density here with deep blackberry and chocolate flavours and bold, smooth tannins.
