WINERY INFORMATION The Sticks estate in Yarra Valley is a modern wine estate comprising of a state of the art winery and a lavish cellar door nestled cosily at the base of the Christmas Hills in Yarra Valley. Just an hour’s drive away from the city of Melbourne, Sticks Yarra Valley is renowned for producing world-class varietals and blends that are sold locally as well as internationally. TASTING NOTES Yarra Valley is famous for the juicy and flavoursome Chardonnay grapes grown here. Harvested from the winery’s own estate blocks as well as the Upper Ngumby vineyard, the fruit was whole bunch pressed, coarse settled and fermented in French oak hogsheads and puncheons. With an alcohol content of 12.5%, the wine presents a pale gold colour, with light green hints lining the edges. The bouquet teems with melon, grapefruit, nutty and white nectarine fragrances that effortlessly move on to the intense palate structure full of juicy flavours reminiscent of almond meal, acacia honey, citrus and nectarine. Cuisines such as shellfish, creamy soups, pasta and grilled fish taste great with this white wine.
