Tahbilk Icon 1927 Vines Marsanne 2015 Nagambie – 6 Bottles
$280.00
WINERY INFORMATION Tahbilk Wines represents the contribution of five generations of the Purbrick family to the Australian wine industry. The company was established by the Bear brothers in 1860. After the death of J.P. Bear in 1890, the company witnessed a significant decline due to poor management and changing wine preferences. Reginald Purbrick purchased the property in 1925, while his son and accomplished winemaker Eric played an essential role in restoring the winery. TASTING NOTES 1927 Vines Marsanne is a beautiful pale straw hued wine showing bright green tints. Scintillating aromas of honeysuckle, olive oil and lemon juice flow from its perfumed bouquet, making way for a fresh and clean palate. A sip of the wine offers juicy flavours of lime, citrus and ginger spice. Crispy, mineral acidity combines with these aromas and flavours culminating in a lengthy and satisfying finish. This excellent Marsanne has been crafted for immediate consumption upon release. It can also be cellared for two decades from vintage. It is a great food accompaniment to spaghetti with asparagus and mushrooms, and a variety of Asian cuisine.
