WINERY INFORMATION: Robert Oatley Wines was founded in 2006 by late Bob Oatley. It began with the establishment of their first vineyard in the 1990s. The brand sources fruit from premium wine regions of Margaret River, McLaren Vale, Great Southern, Pemberton and Yarra Valley. With their award-winning range of wines, they have gained immense success in the winemaking industry. TASTING NOTES: Grapes for this Shiraz were cold-soaked in separate parcels prior to fermentation. The wine was aged for 18 months before blending. Poured into a glass, the resultant drink flaunts a beautiful medium purple colour. On the nose, aromas of plummy fruits are complemented by rich spices. These fragrances pave the way for a full-bodied palate revealing supple, soft and smooth texture, culminating in a long finish. This varietal can be paired with lamb preparations, meat pie or simply sausage rolls.
