Xanadu Circa 77 Cabernet Sauvignon 2020 Margaret River – 12 Bottles
$234.00
The mysterious and exotic city described by renowned English poet Samuel Coleridge, Xanadu Wines was started by Dr John Lagan in 1977. He and his wife, Eithne planted their first vineyard in the Margaret River region, the same year. The Rathbone Wine Group later acquired the company in 2005. TASTING NOTES A deep red with ruby hues wine exhibiting vibrant, characteristic aromas of ripe blackcurrants, blueberries, and dark plums meshed with hints of bay and licorice and subtly spicy, toasty oak. The generous palate is packed full of juicy fruits of the forest, cassis and chocolate characters. Medium to full-bodied, the fleshy fruits are supported by moreish, supple and ripe tannins. A balanced wine with a persistent fruit finish with beautiful regional savoury inflections of the bay, black olive and licorice. Taste this wine best with most tomato-based red sauces in pizza and pasta.
